After the disapointing non-qualification last week in Köln, a few of us Deckel Dreh'ers decided to play in the championships with other teams. I wil be playing with the DJs Dahlem from Berlin. First we had to play in the B-Religation. From 10 participating teams, the 5 best will play in the 2nd division and the 5 last place teams will play in the 3rd division. However, only 9 teams participated. Bremen didn't show up. This was very unfair for the other teams, especially for Skid, who would have played in their stead and who were possibly good enough to relafate to the 2nd division. There needs to be a fair punishment to discourage such inconsiderate behaivior
Unlike last week with Dresden, the DJs lucked oput and were placed into the pool of 4, instead of the pool of 5. In our first game, however, we blew our chance of relagatin to the second division. We were beatin the Bad Raps 12:10 in a game to 13, but ended up losing. We then beat the Rhine.Flyers from Mainz, but lost to the Frisbee Family from Pempelfort. We made it to the upper pool bnut brought no victories with us.
On Sunday, we played against the Erdferkel from Marburg. This was our next chance, but after keeping it close to 5:5 and a half-time score of 6:7, they pulled away and won 10:13. In a similar game against Ars Ludendi from Darmstadt, we lost 11:13. Our last chance was against InDISCutabel from Münster. Whoever won this game would play in the second division, whoever lost would play in the third. We lost.
Well it was alot of fun with the DJs. ALthough I had a pile of trouble to get oriented to the team on Saturday, I think that I and the whole team really played better on Sunday, especially against Marburg and Darmstadt. We grew as a team, and I think we will do quite well at the championships in Schwaigern!
