This time we had 5 Deckel-Drehers starting at a local Triathlon: MAtthias, Carsten, Jürgen, Jenny all swam 700 m, cycled 27 km, and ran 8 km! I will let the times speak for themselves, but I do want to mention 2 things. After finishing faster than Matthias in Leipzig, I thought I could do it again. But just before the last curve to the finishing stage, I heard a "Puff, the Magic Dragon" singing frenchman gaining ground on me from behind. In the end he beat me with an amazing running time by about half a minute. The score is now even between us at 1:1! The other thing to mention, is that our wonderful Jenny, participating for the first time in a triathlon, finished 3rd place among the women. She got to stand on the podium at the closing cerimonies and recieve a smoked trout! Congradulations Jenny!
